COMPOSITION OF LEADERSHIP SCHOLARS

Leadership Scholars has partnered with nine grade schools (Corryville Catholic, Holy Family, Otto Armleder, Prince of Peace, Resurrection of Our Lord, St. Boniface, St. Francis de Sales, St. Francis Seraph, and St. Joseph) and six high schools (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Elder, Purcell Marian, Roger Bacon, Seton, and Summit Country Day).  Each school has provided us with a number of students who participate in the program, as well as a teacher or counselor who serves as a coordinator.  In addition, the principal of each school is rather involved with the program.

There are currently 170 students in the Leadership Scholars Program (55 high school seniors, 49 high school juniors, 33 eighth-grade students, and 33 seventh-grade students).  The high school students are accepted into the program after going through a rigorous application process consisting of an essay, short answer questions, two teachers recommendations, parental consent, and a twenty-minute interview.  The scholars are selected by their principals and teachers based on the criteria of leadership potential and demonstrated leadership abilities.
